The Global Town Hall is a virtual meeting that provides a platform for leading minds across the world to discuss, in a marathon one-day discussion, the state of play in the COVID-19 world. More importantly, the Global Town Hall will discuss how to reimagine, rebuild, and reform the post-COVID-19 world from the standpoint of economics, business, socio-culture, environment, and governance — among many others. The general theme of this event is Rebuilding From The COVID-19 World.
Global Town Hall is organized by a group consisting of several reputable think-tanks in various countries, such as Indonesia, Australia, India, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, and Mexico.
Thank you for visiting the website of the Global Town Hall "Rebuilding from the Covid-19 World.”
Initiated by Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI), this event is a collaboration of over a dozen reputable think tanks around the world. The aim of this Global Town Hall is to provide an open platform for leading minds from around the world to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on world affairs, and look at ways to build back and recover better, from the perspective of public health, economics, politics, diplomacy, geopolitics, etc.
I am pleased that we have been able to assemble a very impressive line-up of speakers, both from government as well as from think-tank community and civil society. This Global Town Hall also involves the participation of universities and social organizations in several countries.
I look forward to seeing you at our Global Town Hall virtual discussion on Friday, 20 November 2020, starting at 09:00 GMT+7 (Jakarta time).

The idea is to convene a global discussion covering the time zones of Southeast Asia, Australia, East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America — hence "around the clock.”
The Global Town Hall will take place for around fifteen hours from 09:00 to 00:00 Jakarta Time (GMT+7), thereby accommodating people from the different time zones to take part from Los Angeles to Washington D.C., London, Berlin, New Delhi, Jakarta, Shanghai, Seoul, Sydney, and Tokyo — hence, "around the world.”
There will be a tentative count of ten sessions to be featured. The majority of sessions are timed for 75 minutes while some will be allocated for 45 minutes and 30 minutes. All will be conducted virtually. Several sessions will commence with a 10-20 minute address by international figures and continued with a panel discussion for the remainder of the time.
